UED Week 2025 Award Categories

To help us celebrate the 42nd Annual San Antonio UED Week Awards

Guidelines

- Narratives should be thorough but concise

- Do not include promotional materials, annual reports, or photographs

- Winners will provide a high-resolution photo within 5 days of notification.

Eligibility & Requirements

- Business : Must be Socially and/or Economically disadvantaged.

- Eligible Nominees Include (but are not limited to): Business Owners, Executives, Nonprofits, for-profit firms, Universities/Colleges, and Government Representatives.

- Past winners (2020–2024) are not eligible. UED Week Champion Awards are open to all qualified nominees regardless of ethnicity.

. Submissions will be accepted by the Consortium partners, and stakeholders.

- Individuals or organizations (may submit for multiple categories)
- Self-nominations permitted

Award Categories

Advanced Manufacturing Firm of the Year

Presented to a high-performing, firm that has achieved success in employing innovative technology, creating high quality manufacturing jobs, and significant market share increases.

Construction Firm of the Year

Presented to a high performing firm that has achieved success in private or public sector projects and has shown revenue and job growth over a sustained two (2) year minimum timeframe.

Entrepreneur of the Year

Presented to a business owner who has shown the skills necessary to start, and grow a successful business venture.

Technology Solutions Firm of the Year

Presented to a high-performing firm that has achieved notable success employing innovative
techniques, and ideas that promote greater efficiency and productivity.

Veteran Firm of the Year

Presented to a Veteran-Owned or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned firm’ that has achieved
outstanding success in increased revenue, job growth, sustainability, market share, and customer satisfaction.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CHAMPIONS

Distinguished Business Advocate Award

Presented to an individual or organization proving outstanding commitment, and leadership to the business community.

Chairmans Award

Presented to a group or individual that illustrates Perseverance with a Purpose strategies that adapted to a fluid economy, and “New Normal,” successfully. Their methods include Creativity, Resiliency, Innovation, and Tenacity that play an integral role in the creative,
technical, or professional progress underserved businesses.
